You see him on late-night television. You saw him wandering (inexplicably) through AD:TECH New York. Now he's joined the ranks of the pundits and ranters in the Land of Blog.
Yes, that's right: The man in question-marked suit, Matthew Lesko, has his own blog. ("So we know where to make fun of him," comments the Bloggie-winning Wonkette.)
Lesko's reasons for starting the blog, according to his initial post, go beyond supplementing his popular books:
But what really pushed me to explore this new mode of communication is my recent debacle with the New York Consumer Protection Board. On December 15, the board issued a press release based on a study about government grant scams -- and unfairly used me and my products to get publicity for it. The board has admitted that I've done nothing wrong, and that they aren't investigating me for anything. Yet they proceeded to make false and libelous statements about me. I've posted a fact sheet on my site that you can read here....
So with this blog, I can take matters into my own hands. Consider it my constantly evolving letter to the editor, as well as an expansion of what I do day in and day out -- helping people make the most of the resources available to them.
A noble reason, to be sure. But really, this particular blogger will probably just visit on occasion to see if he's posted anymore silly pictures of himself with his matching mini.
