In our fervent effort to get the "Google-deletes-its-own-blog" story out early, I hastily posted the headline with an extraneous apostrophe.
And, true to the reputation of bloggers and the aforementioned fast-paced nature of the medium -- I got called on it. Quickly.
Ouch! Via the beauty of RSS, our grammatically imperfect post title was streamed across desktops around the world. And I, an English Major and occasional contributor to GrammarHell, am still smarting from the comment sent in by a fellow blogger. (Whose blog I'll be scanning obsessively for grammatical errors. Petty, I know...but I'm only human.)
Lesson learned: PROOFREAD. Always, always proofread.
PS - did you know that TypePad's spellchecker doesn't recognize the word "blogger?" Ironic, much?
