Rumors have circulated for weeks, and now the headlines: Google has acquired Feedburner, the quintessential RSS tool.
I think we all knew that it was only a matter of time before Google snapped them up. The Post puts the deal at $100 Million, unconfirmed.
The acquisition will give Google advertisers the opportunity to advertise via RSS Feeds, and will also improve Google's current RSS offerings on sites like Blogger.

This is another way of Google trying to dominate the online advertising market. With the announcement today of them buying Zenter, I can foresee that someday ads will get embedded in online docs using Google Docs.
